Money…

The national currency of Mexico is the Peso.  When you see prices listed they will appear with the $ sign in front of the Peso amount. The exchange rate does fluctuate.  Check on the web (e.g. at Yahoo Finance: http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=USDMX... ) for current rates. Many places will take U.S. Currency in Playa del Carmen, but the exchange rate may not be the best, so ask beforehand.
